With my old headset, I noticed that whenever I was using my microphone (discord call, streaming on Twitch, etc.) the sound quality I was hearing was absolute garbage. I read online the same problem with my headset was responsible for this. Another possibility I read was just that the headset was bluetooth and apparently windows won't produce good sound on your headset if: a) You are using bluetooth AND b) You are using your microphone.
I was using a Skullcandy Hesh 3 bluetooth headset. Now I am using a Corsair Void Elite headset that uses a dedicated usb dongle. Each of these headsets retail for roughly $100 USD.
Perhaps you just need to get a new headset. I hope this helps.
Thanks for posting, we'll look into that as it is a bluetooth headset.
Sure! I'd be interested in learning your outcome, so I may better understand the problem.
In order to fix this, I right clicked my sound settings (speaker in the bottom right icons) on Windows, then viewed the spatial sounds. I enabled Windows Sonic for Headphones, changed my in game settings to Headphones, and magically the voices returned and played thru the speakers.
Hope this helps whoever stumbles across this thread.
I use the Steelseries Arctis 1 Wireless. They don't have USB-C charging, it's sadly micro USB, gross. Other than that, they are really good and work with this game.
