How do I get trespasser DLC?
I have the old origin desktop app from this thread as I was having trouble linking and verifying my game to origin. This was advice I followed from this thread; https://steamcommunity.com/app/1222690/discussions/0/3718314144377666266/#c6682809959391503940 I needed to do that to get black emporium.

I am trying to buy the DLC through that desktop app and I get told "You need to have the base game, buy here or put product code."

I already own the game on steam and I haven't been able to see a product code anywhere.

Anybody got any advice for me?

I have uninstalled the origin desktop app and reinstalled it, readded DA:I as a non-origin game from the steam executable file. Still having the same issue.

I click "Buy game" for Trespasser DLC on the origin desktop app.

Get a pop up that says "You need the base game to use this content."

The version you buy through Steam and the version you buy direct from EA are considered different even though the code is presumably the same--obviously there must be some signature buried in the code that allows EA to discern this, but I have no idea how it works.

I suspect you will have an even harder time getting to the end of the tunnel if you do as you have described.

What I also don't understand is, the version that Steam is selling--and I believe, has always been selling--is the GOTY version that includes all of the DLCs. So...what makes you say that you are missing Trespasser? I assume you are aware that it won't show up on the War Table until after you've defeated Cory, right?

I have no idea if it will work, but I suggest a complete uninstallation, a reinstallation of the Origin Thin Client if necessary, and then a full reinstallation, all under Steam. Don't mix and match between Steam and EA, that will inexorably cause problems.

Yup the version on Steam is the GOTY Edition that includes ALL ever released DLC for Inquisition.
The multiplayer and item packs and the 3 story DLC, Jaws of Hakon, The Descent and Trespasser.
If you have the Steam version you have everything ever released for this game.

So no need to "get" Trespasser anywhere.

Also the old Desktop Origin App no longer works with the Steam version.
Get the new EA APP.

Oh! I had read that it included the DLC, but when I've bought other games with DLC included, steam lists the DLC in my library and I thought I didn't have the DLC because of that.

Maybe I didn't actually successfully install black emporium from origin app, it was just already included and I didn't look until after my origin troubleshooting.

So it's not an issue at all. 🤣

Thanks all!

If you scroll down on the main DAI page in the Steam client you will see a box on the right that says "DLC" and within that box you can click on "Manage my XX (on mine it says 15) DLC." That should list them all for you.

Did not work for me. Used the EA APP by default and when i tried the ORIGIN Legacy version instead Inquisition did no longer start.
At least for me.

I did install it on Nov 23 for the very first time, but I already had the Origin Thin client installed from ME:L, so it did not install anything and just worked.

Yeah its possible if you already had the old thin client installed that it continues to work.
But i started playing a few days ago and it automatically installed the EA APP at first launch for me.

If you purchased the game on Steam, you'll need to re-purchase the game and it's DLC in one go (GOTY edition). All hail glorious DRM ...
