Uh huh. Well, everyone's entitled to their opinion: I think my nearly 5000 hours in DAI speak for themselves. How many hours in the game do you have?
Also, I suspect those who hold to this view haven't actually played either predecessor game in a while and have forgotten how clunky and janky they are.
I would take your response more seriously if you hadn't misleadingly truncated what I said.
For the benefit of the slow student, I wrote "I suspect those who hold to this view haven't actually played either predecessor game in a while and have forgotten how clunky and janky they are."
The fact you apparently felt the need to omit the highlighted portion--thereby substantially altering my meaning--is unworthy of someone attempting to have a serious discussion.
As to my mentioning my time in the game, it is to show that I don't just talk the talk, I walk the walk.
And I'll repeat my earlier question: how much time have you spent in DAI? Because if you haven't completed at least one playthrough (60-100 hours) your ability to assess its goodness is, shall we say, questionable.
Now that I've made myself clear, feel free to apologize. Otherwise, we're done here.
Map is full of PoIs that gives you nothing (i'm lying, it gives you autogenerated trash-loot ofcourse that'll be sold for a couple of coins) and wastes a lot of time cause enemies are spongy af. And ofcourse your character's movement speed is slow af and it can't be accelerated.
Companions are better than in Veilguard probably.
With 15 mods installed its still a misery to play this game. I'd say openworld is worst thing in Inquisition. Its big, character is slow, content is sh*t.
Even ME Andromeda was more fun to play.
Give it a try. Run through prologue, go to Hinterlands, fight some enemies, do some sidequests, loot PoIs and see for yourself, do you like it or no. If no - just refund.
I loved that you could choose and loose companions in the old games which they seem to have scrapped in veilguard.
If you are on the fence wait for a sale. Inquisition, being the most "modern" of the oldies might be easiest to digest if you are new to the genre, but I personally still love origins, and dragon age 2 has its place in the legacy of dragon age, if not as strong as origins.
About combat and enemies soaking damage... I simply change difficulty, to be akin to story mode in veilguard, because that is what I'm here for. To each their own ofc.
Enjoy slow timed combat and multiplayer experience with some cool abilities and plenty of variation. (I had to respec 5 times to get build that i could settle with). To everyone that says its grindy, the play gets exponentially easier with every game. Im in 30 hours and most of my equipment is supersolid now. Incase u think u have all, game offers a ton of extra harder modes
Tl:dr : worth
100% Agree. I actually believe Inquisition was more fun when I did a recent replay. I have found the best way to play these games in 2025 is on EA. The game runs better from there and the version is updated. I don’t like EA, but the games are cheap there on sale and worth the lack of hassles.
Graphics are still great, plenty of mods and >80 hrs playtime with nice crafting.
