I launched the game using Steam Link on my iPad while using the Same Xbox one X Controller on Bluetooth (It was connected to my iPad), and when the game launched It said "Config Loaded - Gamepad", and then It got me thinking. I went to Steam > Settings > Controller > General Controller Setting > and turn on "Xbox Configuration Support"
After than I just ran the game normally with my Controller Connected to Bluetooth and It Immediately detected it
P.S. Playing Wired worked but Bluetooth wasn't apparently.
Your welcome
Edit: After I got the controller working i just uninstalled the program cause now the game saved the fact that I have used a controller
Edit 2: Well turns out you cant uninstall w/e controller emulater you download. I suggest using x320ce cause its free, all you would have to do is activated it and the game would pick it up. So far is has been working prefect without me having to remap the buttons. :D
Reboot your PC
Go to Steam > Settings > Controller > Desktop Configuration and remap the LS button to do nothing by selecting the (-) sign on top right. (This solves an issue when you press LS in game virtual keyboard opens)
Add the game to steam if you have downloaded it from anywhere else
Plug your controller to cable
Open the game from steam
By using your keyboard, change input type from keyboard/mouse to gamepad, confirm and repeat the process to mouse and to gamepad a couple of times.
Continue your game
Unplug the controller and play.
Hope this works, it worked for me.
This! Thank you so much! This worked for me. Simply enabling Xbox extended and restarting seemed to do it.
Yay. Those drivers make my PC blue screen of death in Forza Horizon 4, so uninstalled them
EA really needs to fix their controller support in games on PC
Same with NFS games
thanks
