Golden Nug missing?

I've played a ton, just going back to replay ahead of Veilguard. My old saves are there, I'm logged into the servers. Even imported my old Dragon Age keep for my character's backstory. Yet I have no golden nug in the stables at Haven. What have I done wrong and how do I fix it?

Even if you start out connected, my experience is that sometimes the connection is lost during the game, at which point you lose access to the Golden Nug.

Dunno if that helps at all but it may be worth investigating.
