Iron Bull quest line?

So trying to get a plans for a Staff which are from a series of missions you send followers out on. In order to get them to trigger Iron Bull needs to have an assassination attempt on him.....that's happened and failed horribly lol.....but that was supposed to trigger more quests to pop up and track the assassins so far nothing's shown up?
