Divine Election points need help understanding
So this is my first time playing Dragon Age: Inquisition so I am having trouble understanding how some things work in this game like the Divine Election and how it works. From what I have read the election is based on how many Divine Points each of the 3 candidates ( Cassandra, Leliana, and Vivienne) have depending on the dialogue choices and decisions you make in the game. Now I want to make Leliana the next Divine essentially Softened Leliana. But let’s say in ‘Wicked Eyes and Wicked Eyes’ I want to save Empress Celene's life and reunite her with Briala so that they rule the Empire together. Who does the point go to? Does it go to Vivienne, Cassandra, or Leliana? Also, I read that Leliana doesn’t become an official candidate until her personal quest is finished. So do all of the points in her favor automatically add on once she’s an official candidate after her personal quest is done? Also let’s say for example Leliana has 10 points, Cassandra has 1, and Vivienne has 1, do I need to bring down both Cassandra’s and Vivienne’s point down to zero or below into the negatives so that it’s guaranteed that Leliana becomes the new Divine? Also what do I do about the war table operations for Vivienne and Cassandra? Leliana doesn’t have a war table operation, so do I just don’t do Vivienne’s and Cassandra’s, or what? Any help would be really appreciated!

iirc it's the easiest to have leliana be divine, i had cassandra rebuild the seekers, and vivi rebuild the circle.

That answers none of my questions. I’m literally asking these questions because I’ve read that even if Leliana has the most points, Cassandra or Vivienne still become the new Divine in some people’s epilogues after they finish the game.

whoever you want the divine to be, focus more on them and or helping them become divine. i've never seen an instance of there being '' points '' other than wicked eyes. and even then, when i focused on leliana being divine, she became the divine. which.. is the opposite of what i was trying to do, i was tryna do cassandra, but it happened.

it may be tied to their personal quests? i don't know, i didn't even know it goes that deep until now. :p

There's a detailed discussion of this in the DAI Wiki:

https://dragonage.fandom.com/wiki/Divine_election

All your questions are addressed there.
