[spoilers] "The Final Piece" missed content

Also do not spoil the rest of the game for me please.
I went into the mission "The Final Piece" with a standard world state, Morrigan having the power of the Well of Sorrows
Going into it it seemed like an obvious boss fight room, ample space and round.

Long story short after the dialogue between Flemeth she just gave Morrigan her newfound power and just poofed away.

Had to go online to check the wiki and every page just suggests that there was supposed to be a Dragon Guardian of Mythal to fight, yet nothing like that spawned for me nor was the encounter hostile in nature of any way.

Is this a patched version or what?
Also wowie there is some extremely hidden content behind doing stuff in earlier Dragon Age games, I really need to get to playing the whole trilogy as a single adventure.

This dragon only spawns if you drink from the well - because then you will become kinda vessel of Mithal's wisdom of sorts, so it's natural for her to help you then, by giving a dragon (if you prove yourself worthy).

You will also understand some elvhen scribbles after that as well (ancient elven writing or something like that in Codex), which you could not decipher before drinking from the well.
And in Trespasser DLC certain enemies will not attack you, because of the same reason (you will actually understand them).

Hope that was not that spoilery, and gave you an appetite to try drinking from the well yourself.
DAI actually has quite a few hidden stuff in it, despite overall sad state of the game.

Also don't forget to check the lootbox next to the altar after the interaction with Flemeth ends and before you return to Skyhold. It will have a Superb Belt of Spirit Resistance (30%) and some other random item.

The box is there when you arrive but you cannot interact with it so it's easy to miss.

Yeah I think they had some time constraints on development nearing the end, the not drinking path really skips the whole Dragon of Mythal stuff.
Morrigan says she can match the strength of the Lyrium Dragon but in the last mission there is no transformation of her, the Mythal Dragon just appears and later turns into back into Morrigan when she takes a big hit,

It's a bit odd but no biggie, currently doing Descent and thinking of skipping Jaws, can't say for sure yet.

Jaws of Hakkon is like its own mini-campaign, several seemingly disconnected plot threads that converge at the end.

The Descent is basically a linear lootathon. Nothing wrong with that but I find it somewhat tedious, especially after you clean out the Darkspawn nest. Still...plenty of lore about the dwarves, so worth doing once anyhow.
