DAI stuck on black screen

What the title says. After I press "Continue", the black loading screen appears with the green eye blinking, then the loading cut-scene with the 3 tarot cards, the the black screen again with the green eye not blinking. It's been like this for about 10 hours now and it stays like this no matter what I do. I don't have any mods installed so it shouldn't be because of that.I tried a couple of things, like uninstalling and installing again, unabling the in-game overlay in the EA app (this worked for me when DA2 won't launch/keeps crashing), restarting my PC, launching from the EA app (I use Steam), changed compatibility from Windows 7 to 8, verifying the files, but nothing.

I did some googling and discovered some people also had the same issue, particularly after around 14 hours of gaming, and when I looked at my play hours, sure enough, around 14 hours of gaming! Has anyone experienced this and what fixed it? Or just know how to fix this issue in general? I usually like to finish a series before starting a new one, but I am frustrated enough that I'll do just that and come back to DAI after. Any help would be appreciated.

ive had this happen during cut scenes(dialogue wheel) only its weird i think its a saving issue so i just wait it out 5min and returns to normal mostly

Same here.I initially thought it was the reshade plugin or mod, but after disabling them separately, I found the results were the same.
I don't know if reinstalling the game will fix this.
