you bought a game infected by EA app, store page is clear, you have to use EA app in the background and create an account etc This is account-based DRM and always online DRM.
That's why its not worth it not even for 3 bucks, EA can remove access from this game whenever they want, dont support anti-consumer measures and greedy corpo.
You need to link your accounts first to get a copy on origin, then uninstall the EA app, install the older launcher, go offline, and keep it off line. So you are not launching the game through steam, or online. though perhaps you can still launch it as a Non-steam game i have not tried that way, but it should work with proper editing.
