How to PERMANENTLY remove SAVES? THey keep getting restored.

I zipped up all my saves in Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age Inquisition, and deleted the saves (Kept the zip file), and tried to start a new game, and sure enough I get the CONTINUE option at the loading screen, I check the Saves folder, and there are the saves again.

Are there save files saves somewhere else in the Origin Folder or anywhere else?
How do you turn off that annoying EA CLoud SYnc Save thing?

Did you delete the saves from inside the DAI launcher? I think you have to or they'll restore as you've observed.

Also you can delete an entire set of saves associated with a particular character from the launcher as well: Load/Select Another Character/Delete.

I did not know that EA saved your saves to the cloud. I thought only Steam did that? Did you check that Steam is set not to save to the cloud? I had to do that at some point myself.

Dunno if any of this helps, but it's what I've got :-/

I did not know that EA saved your saves to the cloud. I thought only Steam did that? Did you check that Steam is set not to save to the cloud? I had to do that at some point myself.

Yea, I've had Steam CLoud shut off forever. The new EA app doesn't let you shut off the CLoud Saves on their app, that's what kept restoring the saves I deleted in WIndows from the Saves folder.
Apparently I have to leave the EA APP OFFLINE in order to stop it from restoring my old saves and forcing 17 EA Achievements on my brand new STEAM game.

Of course, having to leave the EA APP permanently OFFLINE makes the app even more pointless than it already is, as there's no need to stack two types of DRMs on top of each other.

What I said in my first post. I zipped the saves up and deleted them straight from the Saves Folder. I never delete saves from inside the game UI itself.
I've since put the EA APP in offline mode, started the game and the saves haven't come back, so, I guess I have to remember to keep the EA app in offline mode.

<shrug> You described your problem in your initial post. I offered the suggestion as something that might solve your problem. Evidently you do not see that as a useful suggestion, so I've nothing more to add.

Why you would not use the game UI to delete your saves is frankly beyond me, but ... have it your way.

Because I can delete the Save Games (which can number in the hundreds) EN MASSE, instead of one by one using the Game UI.

Anyway, since the Game is on Steam, and my Saves are from when I bought and played the game on Origin, there's no way to permanently delete the saves from the EA APP CLOUD, you can't even turn it off in the EA APP. the saves apparently exist forever, so the EA APP keeps restoring them no matter what

Also, apparently it's pointless because I just started a new game with that stupid EA APP set to OFFLINE, and didn't get an achievement for finishing the Prologue, so not only has EA ruined the game on EA, but they've also ruined it on Steam as well, by forcing people to always be online and forcing the achievements earned on one Platform, to go across platforms and be put there as well, which ruins the experience of starting a new game on a new platform.

As I already mentioned, you can delete an entire character's saves in one click. So unless you have dozens of different characters it would be simple to fix.

But apparently my suggestions are not useful to you, so ... that is all. Enjoy your life.

I HAVE listened to your suggestions, and as I have said NUMEROUS times Now, THE ACHIEVEMENTS ARE SAVED TO YOUR EA ACCOUNT, and Are automatically Transferred to your STEAM ACCOUNT, whether you want them to or not.

Also, the SAVES have nothing to do with it, I've found out, because the Achievements are saved to your PROFILE, so no amount of deleting Saves YOUR WAY, or MY WAY, will fix that. I've TRIED BOTH.

Achievements will NOT go away, and are forced onto your STEAM account.

I have asked on the EA forums, and have been told this as well.
It does NOT MATTER if I have deleted my saves through the Game UI, because the Achievements are saved to your EA profile Despite whether you delete your saves or Not.

But Thanks for the drama though.
