Help! Camera won't stop rotating!
I have an issue just now that is driving me mad. I play DA:I with a Xbox One controller and it was absolutely fine for weeks. Was playing without issue but stopped playing the game for about 3 weeks as I got sidetracked with other games and had a busier time at work. Went back to it today and the camera is now spinning ENDLESSLY! It stops if I unplug the controller but I want to play with that as I have never been a good keyboard player. At my wits end, tried restarting laptop, deleting option saves, verifying game files, reinstalling Xbox controller, playing in window mode. Nothing helps.

It is infuriating because I have about 40 hours in the game with no issue but now it is unplayable. I haven't touched it in weeks so I don't know what has changed.

Any help would be massively appreciated. Cheers.

I've had that problem as well. I discovered that as your controller ages, the sticks don't move as freely, so what happens is, you'll tilt them or click them and then they won't return to the "neutral" position when you release. I'm guessing whatever lubricant or gasket keeps them from "sticking" just wears out.

My own solution--before I got a new controller--was to pull the stick up thus releasing it. You don't need a lot of pressure for this, if you curl your fingers between the top and the stem you should feel it move up just a skosh.

I can't guarantee this will work for you but it's better than nothing, right? :-)

My controller is less than a year old so I never even considered it. But you are right! I bought this one to replace an old one that wasn't working so well, but at the same time my brother gave me one of his controllers.

I just used the new one since for PC and XBox but it must be faulty now because when I replaced it with the controller my brother gave me the camera stopped spinning.

Thanks for the help! Gonna have to see about a refund for this controller but now I can play the game so cheers again!

Glad I was able to point you in the right direction! It's not an obvious issue, so...I just got lucky. Anyhow, happy to hear it's fixed! :-)
