No sound Whatsoever
Does anyone have a fix i've tried everything and the only thing that worked was deleting the profile options profile and when I restarted I had sound but when I alt tabbed or quit the game went completely silent again. How EA keeps getting away with this is beyond me. I will not buy anymore of their games if this is the support their team provides.

That has happened to me occasionally and the fix I found was to go into the options menu, switch my sound output to something--anything--else, then switch back.

Well, "everything" can be a bit vague. I figured I'd suggest what worked for me. Sorry it didn't help! :-(

Nah that's alright man not your fault. I think it's my headset cause I have a logitech one and i've tried uninstalling the drivers for it but doesn't seem to work

Are you sure the sound issues are related to the game and not your drivers/computer? I doubt it's an EA thing, though this game does tend to have lower dialogue sound than it should. If you've tried checking the integrity of your Steam files and your sure the audio is just from this particular game, then I would try reaching out to EA's help website - you can reach a person on their chat quite quickly, but as I said, it seems unlikely that it's related to the ap or the game when other people run their audio fine. Sometimes uninstalling and reinstalling the ap can help too.

Dude i've tried all that and no i'm not contacting support as they are useless as I have more computer knowledge than them, lastly it's not just me that has had this problem since booting up the game again you only have to look at the no sound posts in these forums

Can you try wiping your settings files then check in the game again? Close the game to start, then if you go to My Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age Inquision\Save you'll find ProfileOptions and ProfileOptions_profile there. Make a backup of these elsewhere just as a precaution, then delete them and start the game back up. Hopefully the sound will start, you can wipe the backups and get to playing.

If it doesn't, can you check if there's an icon for the game in your sound mixer? You'll find this in your system tray near the time on your desktop. Tab out while the game is running then right-click the speaker option. Choose to Open Volume mixer, then you can see if the game shows up on your main output device. You can also try checking for alternate output devices and see if the game is showing up there, despite the actions already taken.

This worked for me

Try installing both the x86 and x64 versions of dot net 6 & 8 and VC redistributables. This is the only fix I've found and I've tried the other fixes (the mixer fix, re-installing, repair, fresh Windows, the headphones setting).
