That is my tought too and so with the keep we can do pretty much everything as we want ❤️
I think it's great.
In trailer it's said there won't be any prophecy or magic hands, it's a start but to have a good main character he or she must have motivation(s), dialogue options that would define their personality. If it's going to be another goodie-two shoes then it won't work, at least for me.
EDIT: Oh, and I guess a voiced option needs to be addressed. I personally have no problem with voiced main character, but if it was reduced to an option then it couldn't hurt I guess. And if we go for more dialogue options that I mentioned earlier I'd want to see more than: diplomatic/reasonable, angry, curious, sarcastic. Maybe if there was shy dialogue options it'd be interesting for a start of character's journey or throughout the game, or even better a silent option. It would be interesting having main character give no response but a cold gaze and NPC reacting to it with confusion or dread, kind of like with DB questline in Elder Scrolls.
aha why didnt do same for warden or Hawke !?
The Warden isn't ever going to come back physically. And Hawke will be reduced to appearing in a letter.
They didn't do the same for Hawke in Inquisition because Hawke is tied to the mage vs templar fight + he is alive in every ending. The Warden is dead in half of the endings.
well pretty sure Hawke can be killed in Fade if you choose to kill him/her and Warden hmmm well not sure about others but mine is cleary alive and kickin in inquistion and so it was in the end ...alive kickin and still in love with Leliana XD
well can you actually kill Warden in dragon age 2 or inquistion i mean i know you can in origins ...but in the rest ?!
I mean, sadly we can't have a statistic to find out wherever majority choose to avoid death or not like with Shepard.
DAO's archdemon kill dilemma is sort of like test for player to either be selfless or selfish and use an easy way out of the grim situation and it just leaves a 30 year lifespan as a Warden after which your only choice is dying to Darkspawn anyway.
The Warden never appears in DAII or DAI. He/she are mentioned but that's about it, I doubt that Hero of Ferelden will ever appear again.
When i reached end of origins i just did that ritual Morrigan said but ofc Morrigan and Allistair XD and so i killed Archedemon but i survived ..so did Allistair ...
And i know they dont appear and only mentioned several times and also at least in my inquistion playtrough Leliana mentioned that Warden is searching for a cure or something so she wont die of darkspawn call
But if you let Warden live - you only win, cause you get epic dialogue choices , plus your favourite character can go and do whatever now. That is why I imagine there are few people for whom Warden dying is canon.
i made Morrigan happy ! aint good if she get mad XD nobody want to get eat by Dragon Morrigan XD
I mean, it's fair. It's rpg game so the choice is up to you, I also had done ritual with Morrigan to save my MC from certain death, until in last playthrough I decided not to. Suffice to say, the sequels downplay this choice now, removing Witch Hunt and the other games from memory and this choice stands to be much more difficult, it gives questions such as 'Is this morally correct?', 'Is this forced ritual worth it?' and 'What about the consequences?'. So what I'm trying to tell, is that back then it might've been a decision where Warden has to proceed with caution because a soul of old god will just go to a random child and who knows what effect is might have on the world? It's just something worth considering when in rpg, in my personal view. Warden is not a seer to see into the future as well.
I mean, this cure needs to be found first and its existence should be verified. Urn of Sacred Ashes was believed to be a myth up until Genitivi actually found out about Temple in Haven. So, Genitivi had proof Urn existed and many NPCs basically said so, also a research in Genitivi's home confirmed it. While prospect of finding cure from the taint is interesting and definitely should've been explored more, I don't think we will ever learn more beyond what was given in Inquisition. Who made this cure? How it actually came to exist? Will it work if Warden consumed potion from Soldier's Peak?
well indeed but umm Which hunt cant be played if Warden die ?! i mean i did played only bcs Aliistair and Morrigan had ritual fun ?! and indeed after inquistion i don't think we will ever see more of darkspawn or wardens so far to me it seems will be mostly about Solas and ancient elves and Sera that hate elves XD
