Performance issues

My PC is above the recommended specs yet I'm experiencing some pretty bad frame drops, the game will jump between 25-60FPS. In Haven it wasn't too bad but once I entered the Hinterlands it just got worse. I play the game on medium settings in 1080p.

Specs:
- Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060
- 32gb RAM
- Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700F CPU @ 3.00GHz

hmm you should for sure be able to run it. my old alienware laptop when the game first released could play it.
have you tryed verifying game files? right click the game in your steam library and properties 1 of the tabs will give an option to verify game files.
also try running as admin in the same tab as verify game files will be local files. right click the exe and run as admin could be a antivirus issue but unlikly.

this might be a case of your hardware is too new for its own good? i ran this fairly sure 60 fps on high with textures maxed on a alienware laptop

I tried both things but sadly it didn't fix the performance issues, Thanks for trying to help though.

go into game and turn off data collecting helped me uses a lot processor power and this game does to if playing offline by yourself i would shut connecting to the server off to also the sync to the keep to if you don't care about online stuff and one last thing you could put steam friends in offline to hope this helps peace.

Thank you so much this reduced the lag significantly, now the game is atleast playable.
