Incredibly long load times on strong PC

So, at the time when this game was released, I believe my PC would have been considered high-end. I have:
GTX 1080 TI
32 GB RAM
Ryzen 5 3600 (3.7 GHz)
and an SSD with everything on it (one drive, no partitions)
1080p, 60 Hz monitor

So can anyone tell me why every single load screen is at minimum 5 minutes? I get better load times (of just a few seconds) in Cyberpunk on max settings ffs.

I also just waited 15 minutes for it to initially load into the game.

I have absolutely no mods installed, and it is a fresh install from steam.

Could be your ssd! Look at the freespace of your ssd. They getting slower when they dont have at least 20% of free space remaining.

I don't have issues with any other games, as I tested w/ Cyberpunk but I'll remove some stuff to test if that fixes it. Thanks

Same with me, about the same rig... Loading a level takes about 1-2 minutes from time to time...

meh it's a bit of an old game so who knows...I can't even get the new xbox controller to work on this game properly.

I was getting the same issue. Might have something to do with the engine/port of the game.

same issue, 0,8 hour loading screen after starting a new game. I just waited and waited... nothing

I've had a problem where Origin would cap CPU use.

Googling a bit there was someone suggesting launching Origin in compatibility mode, for Windows 7 or 8. Worked for the Launcher, but the game still takes forever to load. I played this forever before it launched on Steam. Never had this kind of problem.
