I have a steam controller and old xbox 360 controller, but I own the game through origin, and I can't use my steam controller even when I add a non steam game to my steam library. And my old x360 controller is giving up the ghost, going out slowly. So ... I'll be switching to kb/m. Thanks for your inputs!
I think the ONE thing that'd make this better is, if instead of having to use 5-8 for those abilities, it'd be great to actually just hold down right mouse and then hit 1-4, OR, the mouse wheel to do the same. This one change, along with all your keybindings, would be enough to make this more than viable.
I put the two potions slots on two side mouse buttons, and made the Auto Attack (SP) on R. Tac View keys I just switched AD and QE around. Aside from that, honestly, it's not much different from other RPGs when it comes to keybindings The V key has been used before, but I do wish they'd allow you to use Left Click or have an actual interact keybinding.
Personally I'd prefer shift or alt myself. With when this game was made, I'm pretty surprised they didn't allow it. Makes it seem like they intended the player to use the Tac-View constantly. Not even truly sure why they ever made that a thing. It was needed in either Origins or II imo. I ignore it and play the the old "Pause and give commands" style of the PS3, but that's just what I'm used to I guess. I dislike the Tac-View thing because, while it's meant to give you a larger view since the battles take place in "larger" areas (Honestly they really don't though. The world is more open than before, but fights still end up limited to an area about the same size as before.) I find it more distracting being able to see that much.
