Why am I asking Josephine about guests in Skyhold?

Am I able to meet these people? Can I talk to them? What's the point of asking Josephine if there are any visiting dignitaries I should be on the lookout for?

i guess some of those nameless faces that lounge about and show up in your throne room are the dignitaries and its supposed to be so you don't act like a doofus jumping and rolling around everywhere even though there is no game impact for doing just that

Called small immersion and roleplay to put most simply.

Wish you could see them, but no its just to tell you what should be happening is happening, tell you some lore/setting, be potentially funny or w/e also of course, all that.

It would have been nice to be able to do something about those guests. Some of them have very interesting stories.

tbf they probably figured the map stuff and (imo to few) judgements were enough of that sort of stuff.
I mean there also fact you obviously would not attend etc... all that or even be able to as they come while your away.
But ya I agree wish you could add something small to it at least similar to the map table to some of them.

idk imo i found the game very short/the main quest line wasn't "long" enough so i would've totally done the extra stuff with the nobles but that's probably just me. i would've also liked it if there were more involved missions instead of just assigning an adviser to them. kind of like cullen's quest line on finding samson where i had to explore a new area and fight a bunch of red templars.
