Game is crashing on startup!
So I freshly installed the game with a buddy and we are both crashing on startup. Origin client launches like normal, then the actual game loads for about 2 seconds then crashes.

Same, hopefully someone figures out a fix

I noticed this with the other two games in the series as well. It takes a couple tries but it loads. Also, the games crash while playing too
the fix = disable avast. Crazy, right?

In this case it was AVG haha. Thanks for the tip. I added the game as an exception to AVG.

Maybe is another software, try a clean reboot.

Disable antivirus. I have AVG and it always crashed at the same spot so I disabled it and no crashes anymore :)

If you're going to use a free anti-virus software why not just use the one that comes with Windows? Never had a problem with it randomly deleting or preventing games from launching

YEP adding an exception for it in AVAST also does the trick.

Just bought the game and after downloading it I had kinda the same problem. No antivirus except windows defender I should add. Click "play" -> Origin thingy pops up -> nothing happens -> repeat. After 2 hours of troubleshooting and searching forums etc, I came across a reply which suggested checking the install folders of both origin and the steam library and to make sure they are both on the same drive. In my case, they were on separate drives. I changed the install folder of DAI to the same drive origin was on and voila - everything works as intended. Maybe it works for some of you guys as well, best of luck!

You need to select "Install the game" in Origin, after that steam will start a check and the game will work
