2) You are safe to sell these items, they're only needed for field requisitions AFAIK, which are repeatable quests. I've never done any of these and always managed to complete the game 100% in terms of quests, collectibles, character level and Inquisition level. Even if you will need them later, they're relatively easy to farm, so don't worry about them.
Hope this helps :)
2. OCD won't allow it... the thought of selling something that I might need.... Arraagghhhh!!!
And 'Yep'... Helps a lot... Major Thanx! Good looking out Mate!!!
Trust me, it's not worth it. It's a giant mean time stealer, just like the majority of side-quests. Press the sell button and move on. Nothing of value lost.
I do every Side-Quest I can find; and that's not even the OCD kicking in... I actually WANT to play the game.
As well... "Time Stealer"? It's Game Time... Why the Rush?!? While I Truly do Respect other people's right to Play a game There Way (Honestly, No Judgement)... I've never really understood the rush to finish a game... to get to the end as quickly as they can. Besides not getting your Money's Worth from 'That' Game; You just end up looking for another game to purchase that much sooner.
At least for me.... a Good Game is like a Good Book; I so dislike when it comes to an end!
Okay, but what if playing it feels like a chore? Games are there for entertainment and for the player, not the other way around. If I tire of playing a game then I stop playing it and do something else until I want to play it again.
I completely agree with this; I often I play the Crud out of a game until I feel just this way, and then I move on.
But I was responding to this:
Your suggestion that I just Sell Off everything and Skip the Side Quest and Move on. I understand if you're bored with the game (or certain aspects of the game), and you don't want to play those parts of the game; but why would you suggestion others skip those areas that you are bored with? I assume (and correct me if I'm wrong), you have played through this game, at least, once. I, on the other hand, am new to this game, and have yet to complete the first large area of the game; and you suggest I skip things because they are 'Time Stealers'.
So again... I don't understand... What's the Rush?
Disclaimer: I probably sound a bit defensive and argumentative in the above... I don't mean to be; I just adamantly don't agree :).
Talking to you feels like running in circles. You are the one who keeps insisting about my advise = "rushing the game". I DO NOT do that, nor do I advise that to newcomers. You keep interpreting my comments about the fetch quests as "rushing through the game". In fact the majority of DAI player recommend to only do them once and then ignore them, as well as getting out of the Hinterlands as soon as possible.
And you know what? I really wish somebody would have told me to get the hell out of the Hinterlands once I reached level 4. It soured my experience with this game a lot and I wasted so much of my (real life) time on doing it. It was not fun and I just wanted to enjoy the game. Every time I tell my experience to other player they are like "Yeah, the Hinterlands suck. Best get out there as soon as possible."
It is a advice that is given to newbie player very often. Like 85% of the time. So I don't get what you are trying to "discuss" here? You asked a question as a newcomer and I gave you an answer.
As to the Hinterlands, This morning I actually finished the last quest I could find there. Personally I have no idea why anyone would think it sucks, but then again, I haven't been anywhere else in the game yet... so I have nothing in which to compare.
Lastly... I didn't mean to upset you; My apologies if I misunderstood your advice.
Should it be helpful, the 4 items were: Fereldan Medallion of Service, Fereldan Tome, Malachite and Spider Ichor. Though I'm not sure how helpful that will be without knowing the other 70 :(.
I hope that answered the question :).
It answers well
Requisition Quests are given at camps. Once you complete one requisition quest, it will give another random req quest. So infinite amount of quest which will give you some minor influence and power which is quite handy in early games but not so much after couple of level gain.
They require some crafting materials, sometimes some valuables to complete these tasks. I will say its much wiser to save-load until you get a easy task early at game to gain some quick power/influence and avoid these requisition quests later.
And sell all of your valuables.
-I have more than 200 spare power so requisitions are pretty much useless now (they have been useless since mid game). Even the 20 requisitions achievement should come naturally even if you sell every valuable.
-I'd sell every and any valuable, but only AFTER CLICKING ON REASEARCH TABLE (at Haven/Skyhold), especially since that inquisition perk gives (retroactively) additional XP for every research.
