hair mods not working (frosty)

I started the game and saw how ugly everything is so i got frosty and some hair mods for all races and i know I downloaded them and imported to frosty. next i checked that the mod appears on the right side and that the box is checked. i go to the game and i only see the same ugly 5 options for faces. Did origins patch the mods or am i missing something? i even downloaded hair mods from Aug 2020 to be sure its not old and outdated, also i only have one hair mod no more
