Scaling
How is the enemy/damage/difficulty scaling in this game?
I don't want to be forced to level up constantly only to be able to keep up with the enemy.

i played GreedFall, Remnant and did not like it so much. Witcher 3 was okay scaling wise.
I do not expect the same fairness like in DarkSouls but does the enemy scale infinitely? Is there a power-limit? Can i kill difficult and higher leveled enemies with skill?

:)

You definitely can kill higher level enemies in general, a good structured and co-ordinated team is what it takes.

However the game at Normal is very forgiving and there are plenty of XP. Normally you can expect your average encounter to be a level or two below you.

The interesting part is that there are the "Trials" introduced with the last Expansion, which are a set of options for the game, the most popular ones are Even Ground and Take it Slow for example, the first ensures that enemies are never below your level and the second halves your XP gain (as you'll get way more than normal otherwise with the former option).

Enemies scale to a certain level around the end game, then they keep scaling up to the cap with you in the DLC.

Basically you can decide how hard or easy you want the game to be, but in general even at higher difficulties you can punch above your weight with a good team, it's about how you build them and combine them,.

I have 200hrs in the game without any dlc. Playing it now with Trials activated - using the 'Even Ground' setting, and finding even the early game a nice even challenge.

As long as you spend some time exploring the world and doing some of the side stuff you shouldn't struggle to much
