Can't Launch DA:I on PC

The game won't launch because Origin won't launch. I click Play, it briefly turns green, and then it closes without anything appearing on the screen. When I try to open Origin, it does a little loading circle, and then nothing happens. Nothing opens in Task Manager.

I have run it as an administrator, in compatibility mode, and done a separate install using the web app. I've added exceptions to my antivirus. I deleted it and its cache, then reinstalled. I reinstalled and repaired the C++ installations. Nothing works. It won't even uninstall manually.

What am I doing wrong?

Try closing Origin luncher . Restart Origin, and start game via origin. I have same problem and now DA work for me.

Origin doesn't open at all.

Disable your antivirus. I use Avast. Worked for me.

Hey guys, I just wanted to comment on a few of these posts that had to do with DAI not launching. I had this issue and tried everything to get it to work. Being an IT guy had already tried most of them before I even started googling.

I was very frustrated to find the internet not helping so much in my solving the issue as most answers had to to with Generic troubleshooting.

What ended up helping specifically for me was actually moving my DAI from my solid state location to the Main OS location that is the same drive as Origin. If you've run out of any other option Id suggest doing this one.

i got this game on origin originally and could never get it to start
got at a refund
depressed to see the same problem on steam version
guess I won't bother trying to buy it and play it again

Its avast, i could not get this to work for the life of me until i turned off my entire security core. Stupid, EA is still stupid, but here is your fix.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled Avast, to no effect.

I uninstalled AVG antivirus and it is working now. Somehow antivirus treats Dragon Age Inquisition as Virus. With AVG antivirus installed, Inquisition starts and ends immediately. I have no idea how to disable it from AVG detection. So either have AVG or Dragon Age. I hope this help you guys.
