Having Trouble With Crashes? Check Here!
Hey, Inquisitors!

We’ve noticed some players are experiencing issues playing due to frequent crashes. We’ve found that in some cases this is likely being caused by anti-virus software, at least for some players.

We recommend you make an exception in your anti-virus software for Dragon Age: Inquisition (especially if you’re using Avast).

If that doesn’t work or if you have any other issues, please contact our customer support team over on EA Answers HQ. We have a forum specifically for Dragon Age: Inquisition, too, where you can get direct support for the game. For any other assistance, please visit our help center at https://help.ea.com.

Happy gaming!

Hello there! I can't solve the problem with departures in Dragon age Inquisition. As soon as I enter the game, everything is fine, the menu works. But if you start a game test or start it, the game crashes, either without an error or with a DirectX error. I almost tried everything, I don't know what to do. The game is licensed, purchased via Steam. The computer should pull the game at medium-maximum settings. But it doesn't. Please help me if you can!

I found this solution and now i can play

I had the same issue, and as it turned out it was my AVG acting up and blocking it for whatever reason. However, instead of uninstalling or disabling AVG, what I did to fix it was add the game to the "exceptions" list. Click the Options dropdown menu in the upper right corner of AVG, then select "advanced options". Click on "Exceptions" in the advanced options menu, then click "add an exception". Find the Dragon Age: Inquisition executable in your files (it should be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition) and select it to add it to your AVG exceptions, and voila! My game started up with no problems after that.

the important is to put the exact URL of the executable. I also updated the Nvidia drivers.

Hello! Can you explain to me what AVG is? You mean antivirus? If you can accept my application as a friend, I would like to discuss this issue in more detail

Hi! yes, AVG is the Avast antivirus.
One further possible issue\fix - there's an app called IBM Trusteer Rapport which often gets installed with online banking apps - if you have this installed it just plain kills the game when it tries to start from Origin. Remove Rapport & it works. It took me hours to find this.

I don't have an antivirus on my PC. Windows Defender only
Not mine, i disabled all my avg and firewall, everything, and the game did not work it just forced closed on open and the worst part, steam wont refund it because the games from so called "Other company" pathetic. I loved this game on ps4 omg FAVORITE GAME! Too bad I got screwed over on steam........yet again. I run genshin impact flawlessly most games i download on steam don't work.
it was fine all week, then last night my computer crashes and turns back on like nothing happened. i have tried reinstalling my game and restarting my pc. i also tried the fixes and nothing seems to work and my computer fits the requirements for the game. does anyone have any ideas?
Hi, i have a problem with the game because of Origin. When i start a new game, the game crash and bring me in Origin. When i bought the game, Origin ask me a key code but I never found this code either on Steam or Origin or by email.
I'm crashing each time Steam gives me a card drop...

you have to sync your origin and steam accounts.

Hi there, I´ve got multiple crashes, and I´ve added an exception first, and I turned off Avast after, but still recurrent crashes are occuring. Do you have any idea how to fix it up?
AVG anti virus also causes crash issues. I turned it off and the game ran smoothly.
Which exact file to you add the exception for, in Avast?

i added the game folder, games folder, and then my entire drive, but it did nothing.
