Is the NFS game to get right now?

There are so many of these games out now and I want something somewhat modern with good game-play. Is this the one to go for? Also is it something I can play offline?

For single player get this, if multiplayer is your bag (not for me) get unbound.

the ea launcher says need to keep signed in if want to play offline. by default you need internet connection to launch the game.
