Here is a link to a video that helped:

Ffs I made external gpu work with a laptop that was an older generation (and no i no longer use that) and THAT was a much easier labour than getting this bloody game to work.
This might work for me, but it is not a guarantee to work for you.
So here goes:
Before you do this, it is important to check that your windows and GPU driver is up to date. (but this may not be an issue). You may also want to do a clean boot, but I doubt this is the primary act of fix - but do it anyway, you get to get rid of a few useless gunk from your pc that way.
- Go to NFS Heat.exe from your install directory, and right click > Properties.
- Under Compatibility, you want the check:
-- Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 8 (if you're using Windows 10)
-- Disable Full-Screen optimisations.
-- Run this program as an administrator.
and that's it.
You may still need to change the vsync options in the Nvidia control panel for NFS Heat to "Adaptive Half Refresh Rate".
You DO NOT NEED TO:
- Disable steam overlay or any overlay of any kind.
- Use NVIDIA colour settings from the control panel.
- Disable any sort of other stuff.
- Redownload nvidia Studio driver (like EA said to do in one of its threads)
I did not test with a Dolby Vision because i do not have access to one.
And lastly, ALWAYS run the exe manually (you can pin to start or whatever) and NEVER from steam or origin.
This method fixes my issue where the game does not launch and does not appear in the task bar when launching from steam.
I hope this can help any one else who has this issue (albeit not too many of you guys apparently).
If issue still persist, then you can either verify game integrity, try the things I listed as DO NOT NEED TO DO, and if nothing else works, I hope you've had the game for less than 2 weeks and played less than 2 hours, and then just head straight to the refund section.
