Frosty mod manager cant launch the game

I've previously installed the standard pack of the unite mod and the game ran and launched fine. But when I changed the modpack to the story pack of unite and tried running the game, it wont launch. Launching the game directly thru steam works fine but when i click launch in frosty, the EA launcher says its preparing the game but that window closes and doesn't do anything and doesnt launch the game.

anyone got a fix? thanks in advance
