Ricer's delight

Wish I did more research into the design philosophy of this game before I bought it. Everything looks like what a poor car enthusiast thinks is cool. Civics with cambered wheels, slammed M3's (with cambered wheels), every cheap 4 banger you can imagine with spoilers and body kits. Its like someone went to downtown los angeles and went to the local college where kids are scraping together their part time minimum wage to put a red tow hook on the back of their ford focus.
And then the absolute ruin of classic american muscle. 8 hours in and you get either an old mustang or an old camaro. I don't think this game even has a chevelle in the lineup. Just some riced corvette you get "early" in the game that looks like preschoolers drew it and a spoiler that you can have dinner on.

Remember Need for speed hot pursuit on ps2? When you could actually race cars that were cool for the entire game. Hell, you STARTED with a lotus or corvette. Now you have to play until the endgame just to get a chance at them.

Then not to mention how ghetto all the characters are. Cliche language and dress. Its like someone went to a trashy part of a city at 2am and started taking pictures of all the wannabes hanging out, then put them into the game.

and the worst part of it all, forget good races. If its not a sprint, youre doing a 90 degree turn every 10 seconds while trying to scrape together cash to beat a night race to level up.

This game is targeted toward the people who grew up with nfs underground 1/2, most wanted 2006 and nfs carbon, if you are looking into a game more like hot pursuit or porsche unleashed i suggest to look into most wanted 2012 and hot pursuit 2010 (which was recently remastered).

Haven't tried it myself yet, but I think Forza Horizon 4 might be more akin to what you are looking for. NFS Heat is most definitely not a classy game, it's not a bad game, but it's not a classy game.

I have hot pursuit 2010. Unfortunately there is way too much traffic in that version of the game.

Whenever I see stuff like these it makes me wonder if the person saying these stuff where in a coma when mw(2005) brought back the classic NFS's stuff and mixed them with the 2 underground games

anyways, i do agree with you with the bodykits there use to be cool ones in games like nfs Shift yeah it would probably be your game but the 90 degree turn are kinda still there trust me it doesnt have those stuff you are talking oh and no it doesnt have cops

Stop raging, take a step back and have a look at Japanese car culture. It borrows heavily from it and I guess it mixes it in with a bit of SEMA and old school NFS and then aims it towards a VERY casual market. What was it you were expecting?

After 8 hours you could pretty much get the best car in the game. The mighty overpowered Porsche 911 RSR. The rest of the car park is just for fun to modify it.

Maybe look up what ricer actually means. It is not a buzzword for anything that looks Japanese. You're making yourself look silly and ignorant.
If you wanted big daft American cars, maybe you could've tried Forza. Google is a thing in 2021.

ricer. comes from origin "rice burner" aka a japanese import
similar to "rice rocket" for a japanese motorcycle.

it has been modified to "ricer" to signify the typical JDM style that you always see.
