Can't Launch NFS Heat

I bought NFS Heat From Steam and I just can't launch it.

While I try to "play", it switched to my origin account and with a black screen coming out, but it crash back to desktop and nothing more.

I found it created a mdmp file in my Crash_Dump folder every time I try launching the game.

Same. Just bought the game and it freezes at launch. No crashing no black screen, just freezes at loading screen. I did some Google and found it's a very common problem since it was released on consoles awhile ago. I'm going to assume if they haven't addressed it for that long they have no plans to fix it on Steam either. Time to refund I guess.

thanks, dunno why I accidentally launch the game successfully
but I don't think it will be stable or if I can relaunch it again after I restart...

Maybe no UAT before put it onto the market...

I had the problem with launching into a black screen too. Just kill the NFS Heat process via task manager, then start Origin manually and logh into your account. Start the game again, Origin will ask about local save game files which were found and to load them into the cloud or delete them. I uploaded them, a few seconds later the game loaded (took a few seconds on a black screen whole loading, this may depend on disk speed)

ah yeah that was a mistake. game uses upto 100% of cpu at points and often just goes into dolby vision hdr and locks up the whole system. Refunded this.

Same here, kept black screening my oled on dolby vision. Only way to get out was a hard reboot for me.
Tried it multiple time and one out of 5 got in somehow after i killed steam whilest the game was loading up. Got to play it without steam counting at as playtime, but i refunded anyway as i dont feel like strugling everytime to launch an 8 months old game.

You can find plenty of posts about problems with dolby vision and they never took the trouble to fix it it seems.

I just bought it before the sale ended and I'm having the same issue. I was only able to load the game once. After that it either it loads for a second and closes, load up sit at a black screen, load then jump to 1000+fps and then freeze, or my CPU will push 100% and close the app.

I tried EA's fix in 3D management, and that didn't work. I scoured the internet and a lot of people have been complaining about it since before it came to Steam.
I'm a bit disappointed and asked for a refund after a 2 hours of wasted time.

I stupidly didn't check my CPU temp before using this but at least now it's got my GPU nearly pinned to 100% load in the main menu. Any idea on how to fix that?
1060 6GB just for reference.

It's normal for a GPU to work at 100%. Just make sure the temperatures are fine.
