But the problem with The SIm 4, and the THe Sims franchise in EA hands, is how the company itself binds itself to certaain parameters. So, even IF the game CAN grow (and I agree with you regarding the engine and possibilities), on the hands of EA, it will not. While other games go to point they strive to the limit oif their resources, including engine wise, what the DLC packs show is not just greed, but a desire to keep playing it on a VERY safe zone.
а, нет, подождите-
What comes next?? My imaginary friend game pack for kids or Rebbelios minds game pack for teens?? or maybe One Step Away (from this BS) game pack for elders???
Agree. Also want to add its not purely greed what is doing this but fact consumers and legal issues wont cause problem toward them. When their man audience are --->
- Whales, Dolphin, and casuals.
- Stock matter more than gamer.
They do not need to advance product meaningful way. Like same goes to paradox studio. Their DLC practice early on was great idea but now they are doing same ♥♥♥♥ as here. Only thing what makes them lesser evil is they don´t throw lootboxes and keep many years old game same price.
Also simply said they don´t need to compete with other studios. Like if sport game´s were not limited by brand. EA would forcefully need to maintain some extra expenses to improve product. Here sims is perhaps only game in town currently and sports are limited to EA. When they have competitive markets like Battlefield they can promise sky and moon but deliver turd to your mailbox. No legal problems slightest. Like if Battlefield was any physical product they would be smacked by consumer protections 24/7. But because all of this is data. They can say we will fix later. When they don´t they say. "It´s not profitable as gamer´s left our broken product" Even thought they promised darn expansions before hand and fix these issues full price.
In short. EA is inside bunker where nothing cannot harm it because lack of competition, laws, and consumers are replaced by. Minority whales, dolphins, and Corp because they give more money than more sensible consumer asking scoreboard.. not even speaking fanboys.
