Also, stick to your final decision. Don't cross-purchase DLC, meaning don't buy DLC from here AND from EA App/Origin. EA's service is horrible and players routinely complain about cross-purchased DLC missing from their game or Library.
Does that make sense?
So buy from Steam alone or buy from EA App alone.
I started buying on EA App so that's where I buy and play.
As the other mentioned above the only difference is that you need to run two apps, if this bothers you just purchase it on EA APP.
So many simmers complain about corrupt game files and have to reinstall their whole game after installing new DLC or patching! It's ridiculous!

Once you get Steam set up with the EA app, it's easier to log in with steam. EA app alone makes you enter your password.
Go steam. Don't buy everything. I wouldn't buy spa day or wedding stories and I don't see a point in mermaids - the only reason I might want Mermaids is the tan line feature.
