Report a translation problem
Sadly, I don't know if fixing the issues with the location are even on any roadmap for Maxis... The issues apparently existed years before I got into the game, and I've yet to see an update mention fixing the problems. The best advice I can give is to not actually visit the vacation world, instead just using the new CAS/Build items and/or downloading a gallery lot that has the bugs and plants in them (for the skill). It kind of defeats the purpose of a vacation-based DLC, but... it's been a long time, and no fixes are on the horizon.
If you have problems without going to the world ever, that would be more worrying. I'm pretty sure the most notable bugs are related to the game not properly setting up households for the vacation world, which does not happen if you never load the world up. In which case you may need to consider getting the "better exceptions" mod and getting the error reports, then asking for help with the specific problem being reported.
