My Windenburg is broken / Game freezing on loading screen

So I just tried to old my 2 year old save. Seems like my windenburg is broken. The game just stops loading. When I move my family to another neighbourhood everything loads fine.

I just started a new game and when I make my sims live in Windenburg the game freezes again.

Did I do my windenburg wrong? As far as I am concerned I don't have any mods. I didn't touch the game for a long time.

Assuming you bought the base TS4 game on Steam and launching the game on Steam (NOT Origin) then going to need more info from you.

Do you have either or both of For Rent and Crystal Creations currently installed?

Were you able to successfully load another save besides that 2yr legacy one?

Do you play with mods? If so, remove the mods folder. Does problem reproduce itself?

Is this happening with your other legacy saves? What about a new save game?

You could try the work-a-round; disable Get Together -> load your save game -> Save your game under another name -> enable Get Together again -> try to load in Windenburg.

Sadly, the game itself its in a bad state. Even in vanilla your game can finally break if you have too many sims/households which can causes this bug: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/NEEDS-SAVES-Orange-Exclamation-signs-over-lots-Houses-disappear/td-p/10533991

I wanna play again. So I'll just start fresh. Let's hope I don't lose a save again.
