How long does it take for Social Bunny to update?

I'm really not enjoying this thing, but with it being tied to Teen aspirations and and achievements it's become a random, time-based barrier that feels like I have no control over. I've received one update with the follower count, but how long does it take between updates? Trying to play the game legitimately, but with in-game months passing without an update I'm ready to look for the follower mod and just skip this BS.
