My game won't open

Hello, does anyone know why my game doesn't start, my game hasn't started for several days after the update, I don't know if it's because of the mods, but I already deleted them and updated them again, can someone help me...

the solution is simple, start the EA application, its going to idle, then it will ask to restart the app. say yes, it will ask to make changes, again yes... it will update the app and open, from there close (dont sign out) go to steam and open the sims its working.

your dlc are on steam as well you need to go and activate them. right click on the sim name on your list get the drop down choose dlc those without the check mark add one to them it will download the dlc and once done if I remember right you should be able to play (I cant remember the exact step you may need to activate them once in the game as well) its being a long time since that I had to do that.

same. steam opens just fine, but Sims just refuses to open. i've tried to update everything, but it just doesn't work

for me its says the EA app is prepareing the game but it will not load, i just played a few hours ago and now its not working.

I uninstalled then reinstalled the EA app and it seems to have fixed the issue! my game opened

Thanks, tried the fix it does seem to update EA sh1t app, sadly didn't help to get the game running, problem still lies with EA sadly...

I was able to solve my problem with this.

Go to the windows start menu(not steam) and look in the "EA" directory. Run the "EA APP Updater" in it.
Now you can start sim4.
(I am using the Japanese version, so the file name may be slightly different)

It did work. Once. Can anybody tell me why I have to do this each time I want to start the game? It this the newest feature, or disdain for the players?

I tried to contact Steam Support but their computer told me that they do not know nothing about the game. I hoped that at least they would promise to contact EA for a solution.

Found a fix for this situation. I went to my files for my EA app and found a file there that said EAUpdate. I ran it, EA app opened right after the file finished and logged back in. I am now able to run the sims 4 with no problems and opens everytime.
