Anyone experiencing big delays on clicking their fridges or oven?
For some reasons if i want the radial menu on my fridge, it take like 5 real, slow seconds before it pops up, not sure if it's because there is too many options/recipes unlocked

No, it's a gaming PC that can run big games just fine, it's the game issue, not my specs. You never had these issues? Heck the game isn't even optimized for well furnished big lots, the AI of the sims lags down to a sloth, they forget what they are doing for a few moments before the game remember they gotta keep doing what they need to do, on a regular basis.

When clicking on anything there is delays. It is really crazy. So is the issues with sims husband just poofing and being like a homeless sims that is only seen when you are out and about, pregnant sim that was pregnant then she isn't after he poofs and he isn't even in her social window then baby appears in barn stall and husband back in social. or the women that are having, twins, triplets, and/or quadruplets! NO I do not have MODS. But I am having sims having more than one birth. It is a nightmare since twins are hard enough in game but 3 or more is so stressful. The staff just doesn't do jack anymore they just get stuck and walk around and ignore everything but taking a bath random places and playing or doing something else for fun. I am beginning to think it is EA's way to run people off their game. EA you are doing a great job at that. Not the rep I would want.

I don’t have this issue but here is the bug report from it: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-Lag-for-menu-to-show-up-when-clicking-on-objects/m-p/10553269

It seems an issue since a long time. The only thing which you can do is to me too the post and hope that EA someday will fix it for people which suffer from it.

Sometimes it takes a while, though only a few seconds, and only if I choose the regular cooking option. If I click on gourmet meal, the menu pops up instantly. I've written that off as yet another (minor) bug.

It’s poorly implemented base game issue not yours, if your cooking skill pass lvl2 no matter u have mods cc or not, the delay of menu opening will become obvious, when skill lvl pass 4 the delay time will reach approximately 5secs. This bug exists since the CAS “apply all” update, hasn’t been fixed yet

Uninstall cottage livin pack and reverse game version back to 1.6x will solve it, but in CAS there is no apply all function which is really pain in the axx

Only thing u can do is freeze cooking skill to lvl 2 via MCCC (bakery and other cooking related skills are not affected)

This seems more prevelant since Cottage Living as people reported it since then more frequently. Because it adds a ton of new food and ingredients which the game scans for every time you interact with the fridge or oven. And it has to count and check every item (even in a stack; it has to do it since they are all individual items, not just a value) in the fridge storage and sim inventory which adds to the lag.
Best advice is to clean out both regularily, there are some storage boxes where you can put some of the thing away. And if you have tens or even hundrets of produce in the fridge, sell them and harvest new ones if needed.

My Sims end up with a lot of produce in their inventories/fridges, because I can't stop myself from planting and gardening regardless what household I'm playing. So, I searched for mods which let me store food items and the best suited for me is icemunmun's Instaplate Lunch Box. It's small, moveable in Live Mode and you can put it in a Sims inventory
