Can not make friends

I am just recently having an issue where any interaction and I mean ANY causes negative interaction. I can not make any friends and everyone is always angry with me. I do friendly introduction or anything friendly and it is all negative. I basically can not progress to get friends or romantic relationships. Any solutions?

The angry interactions are caused by a bug from the 2nd last update. When the Loyalty Trait was introduced with that update, it had a negative effect on Autonomous Friendship Interactions. You can use MC Command Center to turn off Autonomous Mean Interactions. If you do a Forum search, there are a few dozen threads on here, that outline how to use it.

"I Found a FIXED to sims being mean bug... it's under Gameplay menu. Go to Game Option > Gameplay menu > check the box Traditional Social Menu.
This will revert back the way sims interact with each other by prioritizing friendly interaction over Random interaction.

What happen right now is if this is unchecked the sims will randomly choosing interaction without using their brain cell like EA. including being mean, funny and mischieve.

This does not prevent other sims who are already angry to being mean to your sims or sims caught their partner cheating or something."

Another solution, use your camera or phone camera, then take a photo of the sims. then spam it until friendship is max. this is almost like magic, but it's pretty handy.

having a tiny house (with the tiny house Lot type from the pack) friend and love goe up way faster also if on the lot

Thank you all for this help, I do have bigger homes on the last two saves I have tried, I will also attempt to alter those interactions.

Ahahahah we just got EA'ed, game is unplayable without packs. Just started a game with a household of 3, they all hate eachother after just one day together.

I am guessing as long as this "bug" is making people buy more expansion packs they wont be in a hurry to fix this anytime soon.

That makes sense... but in my head because of the issue I do not want to give them more money, they do not deserve my $$ until it is fixed. Haha.

I did find the MCCC mod (I learned about it form a tiktok live) I downloaded it, and if I use the computer in my home, to open the MC window and disable mean it seems to at least allow some positive. On occasion the Romance fails but it appears to be a bit better (for the moment).

You can report the issue here supposedly it's going to be fixed soon but, who knows with EA :/

This should hopefully not be an issue for much longer. EA/Maxis announced that an 'express' update for the game would be released on Nov 17 that should correct the mean Sims bug. Hopefully it works and players will not run into this issue anymore.
