the above DLC was free up until base game went free. It didn't even have much.
It was even announced last month https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1222670/view/3399677494323070145
I paid for the game in the past, and I think it's wonderful. I don't play The Sims too often, but I have multiple friends I was excited to tell, that the game is now free.
Games aren't free to create, they gotta make money somehow.
Life is rough sometimes. Quit complaining and enjoy some video games!
That's where your argument falls apart. If you bought the game five years ago, your purchase was an extra five years of time to play the game before free players could access it. If you bought the game six months ago, same deal—you had an extra six months to play before other people. That is what you get for paying. You are not entitled to anything more.
