How does one making those good looking Sims in Gallery? I download them but they look very EA made

What about the character lips and their look etc? They dont look like the thumbnail at all. Is it something sims creator know?

it probably uses custom content such as custom makeup, skin etc. to achieve the look

usually CC source is listed in the description. More often than not it's just a default skin replacement mod. I'd recommend looking up guides for custom content on youtube, if you have never dealt with it before.

Your best bet is to use Tumlr and Google. Literally tons of custom content and modded Sims will come up, and many of those can be downloaded.

if you dont have any skintones i recommend getting some, i cant stand using the default skin anymore makes sims look like they are made out of playdough, my favorite skintone is THISISTHEM Alicias Skin OVERLAY 2

I never download "disappointments" anymore. Too many "threats" and "don't reupload" and in game they never look like the picture. Also, not my style, you know? They don't look right to me.
Instead I just set gallary to the packs owned and download just those, because I use MCCC and mark them #mccc_include. In sims 3 the random sims were called 'pudding faces', just a random collection of skins and clothes that make them look like occult aliens
