Edit: also selecting who to follow to school helps with this.
I will test that later to see if it works, but it is a shame HSY is bugged now. I already found out about this after removing all of my mods and it still being bugged if sending more than one student to Copperdale.
I do not want to send only one student to follow. I want them all to follow, but that bug is annoying to me. EA should also fix this bug sooner rather than later.
Yeah, they should. But this is EA we're talking about, so no high expectations.
Teens in a relationship can travel together. Would have to test that for all four of my teens, but boyfriend/girlfriend can do it.
Why do I think it's a feature? Because with Get to Work, you can follow one Sim only, too, no matter how many you have in an active career, and if that Sim happens to have teenage kids, like my scientist does, I can either follow her to work or one of the kids. I think they just took that gameplay mechanic from Get to Work and implemented it in HSY.
The kids don't have to stay at school afterwards, btw. I sent all three of them and their buddies to the tea shop via the travel option, so that works nicely. Same with teens in a relationship. One of my twins is in a relationship with a teen from another one of my households, they can go places together and do stuff. It doesn't matter which one I'm currently placing, it works for both of them.
When I first purchased HSY I could have multiple teens complete tasks simultaneously at Copperdale High School if sending more than one instead of only one, but I cannot do that anymore even without mods and even with my MCCC mod turned on it seems to think that Copperdale High School is bugged as well but unable to correct the issue. I still do not think this is a feature, but a bug and an annoying one. The only plus side is that I have noticed teen students doing T Posing at Copperdale which I have I not noticed until earlier this year. The Prom still works perfectly fine for me even if it involves more than one teen if I remember correctly, but I am worried about Career Day because it is not frequent enough and I do not want to send only one teen going to Career Day if I have multiple teens living in a household. I suppose if having more than one teen participate in career day is impossible because Copperdale High School is bugged I could cheat with my MCCC mod to complete that part of the aspiration. The reason why this is problematic is because I have a household with twins who are the oldest and triplets after them who are the youngest and they are all teens playing on normal lifespan.
In any case, it is annoying because two of my Sims are twins, too, and I want them to graduate together and do all their tasks at the same time. Having to switch between them daily is annoying and takes away a lot of time; I already have spent way more time with them in High School than with their older siblings.
One thing I really dislike about the pack is that the other teens don't age up, so every Sim you send to Copperdale meets the same teens over and over again. And the one from my other household doesn't show up at all, only when I play him - and when I do that, the other three aren't showing up 🙄 If that was a deliberate decision, it's a stupid one because it doesn't make any sense. I usually send the four of them off to the tea shop so they can hang out a bit. They have known each other since childhood, after all, because their parents are besties :)
I either choose one to follow or none and I have never had an issue with the other teens not going home at the end of school. I have noticed that if I have other teens in other families in my same game I will not always see them in the high school though. I don't know what or why just know that other than maybe at prom I rarely every see one that I play there only NPC generated by game and really for such a fair sized school not many I mean 2 teachers, principal and a maintenance person. Very odd and unrealistic for sure.
I agree it is really stupid and not well thought out for this HSY. I mean the school is almost like a ghost school and while my other families have teens they are never there when the one I play is. Sometimes even certain teen NPC's are not there when I am. Really is crazy and can be very frustrating. The fact that the NPC's don't age up with your leaves all my teens facing the same ones on the same server. Realistically they should age and new ones generate to replay. Even grade school does not age either so they don't make it too HS.
I have my settings so that my created families don't age so it is up to me to age them, Maybe in setting that I have affected NPC's as well but unless I choose it for them it should not. Starting a new game and having the same ones not so bad but playing through one the same game and unless you take control and age the with you because they end up marrying them which will not happen unless you take control and age that NPC. Once done it then follows your settings.
Oh yes I agree is very stupid. I have that happen to my teens and after aging even the teens they went to school with don't know them.
You answered part of my question, but not entirely. The teens are a group by default when going to school, but even when class is over only one of my teens is allowed to return home after testing a second time, but this is a terrible bug and I hate it. Instead of them returning home there is an exclamation mark and the work icon is flashing red at me which forces me to exit the game without saving it meaning that the game does not break only when I send one student for following instead of following all of them. Even when my student got back from the after school activity the teen students did not return back home. What this means is that when I reach "Career Day" I will have to cheat with that other teen sim with my MCCC mod by pretending my twin sim was also there as well for Career Day, because of this very annoying bug.
