The Sims™ 4

Anyone else having an issue with week 2 event?
I am having an issue with the part about going to a musium (sorry can't spell) where it wants you to click on something there and choose something about learning about the past. The only option I get is "view". Tried 2 different places with the same results. Is it broken or am I missing something? Thanks, Merlin

Having the same issue as you

After using the "View" option like 4-5 times on different items, the task got marked as done somehow.
I had it complete with only 1 view, I Clicked the View that had emit's face on it then after a slight delay it completed.
I only had to view once.

Nope, no issue. only issue i had was my sim being disturbed by yet another forced conversation with another sim, but once that stopped and my sim finished what they were viewing, in this case a painting at the museum in willow creek, it completed without incident.
Nope, just did it a couple of minutes ago and it worked fine.

Well I went back and tried what you guys did and view all of the paintings & statues 2 to 3 times and it still didn't work for me. Then I saved the game under a different save and turned off all my mods and still no luck. I just wish EA when they do something like an event or DLC would do proper play testing instead of just making something and let the players do their play testing for them. Anyway not sure what to do and hope EA gets off their rear end and sends out a fix for this as they have to do for "Everything" they put out. TTYL :-) Merlin

I think you have to view something that counts as a "historic display", such as a suit of armor or some other obviously old thing. If the item is valid for the quest, the "View" button will have Emil's face on it. I completed it on the first try at the museum in Willow Creek, using the suit of armor just to the right of the front entrance.

When I was viewing all the stuff in the WC Museum I did see Emil's face just to the left of the view button on all the buttons. The funny thing is that on week 1's quests I didn't have any issues at all when alot of players were. I guess it is my turn to have problems on week 2! Oh well don't even really like these stupid events in the first place and only do them to get rid of the event screen in the upper left. Anyway, will just hope it does either fixes it's self or EA sends out a fix. Thanks for all the replys! Oh for the record today is my 67th B-Days so I guess this is EA gift to me! lol TTYL :-) Merlin

I've done it way more than 5 times and it still does not work.
That worked straight away for me, viewing only one item. The thing I found most difficult was finding an elder to ask about the shard, also digging up metals. I don't really know what I'am doing with this event thing, I'am just obeying the quest instructions, anyway, took me a bit longer but managed to complete it again.

I cant get past the pop up when you launch the game. It keeps freezing my game.
I thought it was bugged, but apparently you have to be patient and wait long enough and/or go to a different museum. I have not completed week 2 yet, but I got past the part in asking an elder about the shard.

I can confirm its not bugged atleast for me as I was able to complete the entirety of week 2.

no issue asking an elder about the shard, it worked right away in conversation.
