work place rivalries

how to i turn work place rivalries off.
i dont like it it stops me from getting promoted and if i invite them over they just refuse to come over

Not sure you can turn them off... one of my Sims had a work place rivalry too at some point. She tried to be nice and get on the other person's good side, and when that didn't work, she sabotaged her co-worker until she got her promotion. I'm not sure the co-worker was fired, but the rivalry ended one way or another. If it ever happens again, I'll straight up be nasty towards the rival.

If you aren't opposed to cheating: either use UI Cheat by deleting the relationship bit in the profile page of the rival sim; or use MCCC to edit relationship bits with the rival sim. I used both methods after the rivalry wouldn't go away no matter what I tried.
