The Sims™ 4

The Sims™ 4

The scream I skrumpt when I logged onto my Sim being 50 pounds heavier after 2 weeks of (8.5 hours inplay)
I have been unable to play sims for a few years and finally have the PC to support it, well I have been playing around for 2 weeks and WAS ABSOLUTELY BAFFLED TO SEE MY SIM GAIN WEIGHT.
SINCE WHEN DOES THE FOOD HAVE CALORIES AND CONSEQUENCES?
WHY ARE THESE CALORIES NOT POSTED FOR MY SIM TO SEE SO WHEN I CHOOSE TO FEED HER MAC AND CHEESE FOR BREAKFAST. LUNCH AND DINNER FOR 2 SIM WEEKS SHE CAN PREPARE HERSELF FOR MY NEGLIGENCE.
I am beside myself.
I immediately bought a treadmill and workout bench and have her training twice a day, she is up to level 4 in fitness now but she has NOT LOST AN INCH!!!
I not only have to count my calories in real life but also in SIMS??
MY sim working, painting and sleeping caused her metabolism to plummet??

I immediately got my ass into some leggings, took preworkout and walked my ass to the gym accross the street bc no way is this happening to me. NOPE. I will not fall victim to work, eat, sleep and repeat bc this is the outcome. My sim works so hard, gets promotion after promotion, paints masterpieces, practices self care and has no energy for physical activity and now my lack of direction failed her

Best way to lose weight is the threadmill, workbench could give you ugly muscles so I never train on them. Youtube;" Petey plays it. I tested every exercise affects weight and muscle in the sims 4 (so you don't have to) ".

Make sure she only eats when she is really hungry, meaning, the hunger bar should at least be yellow. Otherwise, there's a chance your Sim eats way too much and eventually gains weight, just like in real life. It gets more difficult for them to gain weight the higher the fitness level, but watching their diet a bit can't hurt. Same with workouts. My Sims do a lot of jogging, one of my households has their own mini-gym, and a few of my Sims are members of a fitness club.
If you want to keep your sim healthy & fit, Top 10 Food to eat are Garden Salad, Fruit Salad, Salt and Pepper Shrimp Cocktail, Prosciutto-Wrapped Asparagus, Fruit and Yogurt Parfait, Tuna Casserole, High Energy Protein Plate, Chicken Stir Fry, Pasta Primavera & Herb-Crusted Salmon.

10 Foods to avoid are Lobster Thermidor, All Cakes, Flirty Heart Cookie, Omelet, Spinach Frittata, Trout Meuniere, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Monte Cristo Sandwich, Meatless Monte Cristo & Apple Pie

This is based on Calorie to Hunger Gain Ratio
Huh. I didn't know sims could get fat by eating in Sims 4.
I knew they could in Sims 3.
I use MCCC flags to freeze their physiques, because TS4 devs certainly aren't Physiologists. As noted above, sims eating too many desserts makes sense, but omelet contains more calories than pasta or casserole? Are mutant sim hens laying Creme Eggs? (Sort of.. with Cottage Living's chocolate treat.)
It's far easier for TS4 sims to grow large. A reality for new mums, maybe, but not necessarily to the extent it sticks to every S4 sim mum, even the fit ones. TS 1-3 sims could grow larger, but you'd need to force them to eat excessively rather than normally.
My sims consistently go dancing or dance at home (kept me fit lifelong), but TS4 doesn't factor dance into fitness maintenance. It'd only recently occurred to them to update horse riding to affect sims' fitness. A gym isn't required to keep fit. I wouldn't bother modding mine were maintaining sims' fitness realistic.

They can, even with healthy food, and with unhealthy stuff, it's even worse. The popcorn machine that came with the movie pack looks very nice, but the Sims tend to eat a lot of popcorn when it's around. Same with the ice cream machine. Nice to have, but Sims are stupid and ignore any leftovers in the fridge if there's an ice cream machine.
One thing that annoys me aside from Sims putting on weight at random: If you hire a nanny, she'll feed the kids tons of unhealthy stuff, like chips or sugary cereal. Sometimes a nanny also cooks and makes a white cake. Or if you hire a caterer for a party, they'll make white cake, too. If I find one of the blasted things around, I have my Sims throw it away.

i hate those things, my sims always trying to make popcorn or icecream if they hunger is even slightly in the yellow annoys the hell out of me specially the ice cream machine because you cant cancel it once its started you gotta let it finish

same with the pizza/waffle maker my sims constantly starting a pizza/waffle then going and doing something else while it cooks causing many fires to start. because of this i've removed all appliances from all my kitchens with the exception of the microwave which is never used autonomously for some reason and the coffeemaker

That's why I've removed all those things from my Sims' kitchens, too, except the microwave, the coffee machine and that rice cooker thing from For Rent. The waffle maker constantly caught fire, or they forgot to eat the waffles. The only one of my Sim who owns a pizza oven is a cook who has a food stall where she sells everything she cooks, and she only sets up that pizza oven when she's working at the stall.

No need to buy thread mill, just go for jog twice a day and at the end of the week you see your sim being slim.

I guess I always had my SIM doing fitness stuff before because I was a personal trainer myself but now this time I chose a random character and because I didn’t work out this happened. That makes sense.
