The news article https://www.ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/news/businesses-and-hobbies-expansion-pack has a few more details, and the pack sounds as if it might be fun on the business side because apparently, you can turn pretty much everything into a small business. So... a bit like a revamped version of Get to Work with a few features from Sims 3: Ambitions
I would also like add For Rent in the mix. It has key features in owning a business that are similar to For Rent, but in the form of business instead of apartments and landlords.
That aside, for what I've seen so far the EP seems to come with lots of new and cool stuff. Pretty cool tbh. I don't like that some features are dependent of what packs you own (more content if you own more packs, plus this feel like a paid "refresh" in some senses).
The world, as expected, looks like crap.
100% taking the risk with this one.
Based on the gameplay trailer it shows more than just tattoos, but it seems to me that besides the new world that tattoos seem to be the main selling point of this dlc instead of the other stuff that comes with it and overall I am under the impression this dlc was only made because of similar stuff that already exists on The Sims 2 and The Sims 3. There is a business for tattoos on the Sims 3. For The SIms 2 you can sell pottery in addition to being allowed to have a business and a home at the same time based on most recent videos I had watched on The Sims 2 Legacy Collection on YouTube with James Turner. The SIms 2 Legacy Collection also has business rewards similar to this upcoming dlc. Meaning that most of what comes with this dlc seems to be recycled content from older games in addition to it having a Get to Work 2.0 and For Rent 2.0 feel to it where I am worried it will have game breaking bugs similar to Get to Work and For Rent.
