This is so much fun, EA... it's very intuitive. Not.
if you want to stop your sim from being killed, mark your sim as immortal in MCCC under sim flags.
I donno. What's the point in playing if you have to cheat everything? I thought the clone thing was cleaver. My other sims were vampires... but I could have leveled up a new sim and did the de-dead spell too.
I just don't know where to go with the L&D DLC. The rule of thumb is that it should just follow, like the old Apple II and Mac programming books say. You should have to open up some third party website and then follow some list of instructions that you'd never guess.
Bah. This was bad writing
Had one of my sims be reborn as a child and since she's been around for a very long time before I initiated her end all the child skills are at max.
Currently I'm thinking of trying to do the ghost-life part too just to see what will happen.
The so called "born again" or "rebirth" thing has nothing to do with Christianity, but similar to reincarnation that many Hindus and Buddhists believe in. Also, someone being rebirthed as an infant or toddler lifestage I would not recommend, unless if you do not plan on playing with that sim until reaching an older age such as child, teen, or young adult.
I had an actor sim who was unable to film the show they auditioned for because the Director had died and the game never replaced them. Soft-locked on "Tell Director ready to perform".
I know there's mods that will fix that, but honestly, can't be bothered, just gonna let the game auto-complete it since my Sim is already at max level for the required skills.
It's like playing solitaire... cheating is boring.
did the whole bucketlist part and continued with the ghost bucketlist to get the burning soul reward then went for rebirth.
First you have to select your new (or old) family, then you get to a CAS ( I say 'a' because you can't save there ) where you can choose age etc like regular CAS.
From there you'll go on to your new life.
My sim reborn as a child has all skills at maximum (can't say if this is for everyone).
As a teen with the life/ghost bucketlist completed my sim got two interactions:
one with simself, remember previous life. Gives you the option to select traits you want to keep.
Second with a mirror, again to select traits you want back.
All that remains is skills which you have to relearn, obviously; given all the advantages you have that's not a problem.
A word about CAS: you can set the relation to the family you will be reborn into, means, you can set your mother/father/siblings etc.
A short P.S.: I made some copies of my reborn sim, a teen and a child among them.
To have the full reborn effect (one will just be right there) for a second one you just have to go to another lot taking the not affected with you and they'll get their reborn status too.
