Try loading EA App first sometimes the App will say can't get on server or something and you'll have the option to restart the EA App. I had to do this twice now on two different days.

I'm running Sims 4 through Steam on Proton because I'm on Linux, there is no "open the EA app first"
It worked fine, then an update came through and everything stopped working. This is on EA to fix
yep, I did, didn't help
Even with these settings, I now only get about 0.5 frames per second, i.e. one frame every two seconds -- compared to 30 frames this morning!
Unplayable. Unbelievable!

I can get to the EA site but once I click on The Sims 4 no page loads up.
UPDATE: It seems The Sims 4 page loads now but the update link is still dead.
i have no issue loading up the link.
