Best place to find sim mods?

whats the best site/app to find sim mods on? i use curse forge but the mods it has available can be a bit limited.

For me, best mods are on smaller sites and patreon, specially very niche stuff. The most "mainstream" site I use is thesimsresource, for CC.

Best to do might be asking specifically about topics/themes and hopefully simmers that are proficient on that will point you the right way. And watch YouTube videos about what mods Youtubers use, nice suggestions and where to get them in those.

the sims resource (TSR) is my fave for custom content so many creators on there with so many options

When you refer to "mods" are you asking about mods or custom content? Mods change how the game behaves while playing, while custom content add clothing, makeup, skins etc. and don't alter how the game behaves. Lots of sites out there have both. Lots of creators have free downloads of CC on their Patreon pages. I've used The Sims Resource, Mod the Sims. If you Google mods and CC - Tumblr & Reddit for example, there are lots of content sites that will come up, with links to sites that host them.

Be careful where you look for mods, especially ones with python script. All the abilities of Python are at the disposal of the mod maker. So that innocent notice that the mod is out of date? Yeah, the mod's talking to the mothership. Maybe that time it really was just checking the mod version numbers, but think of what it can do logged in as you....
Some games e.g. Bethesda, use a game script. Even that can be a source of trojans if they call Microsoft C++
