When ever Sims gets an update there is always a possibility that any mods you have
become broken and affect the game.

One way to figure out if it is your mods, is to move them out of the game files and just drop them in a folder on desk top (or if you have a programme like Sims 4 mod manager [gametimedev.de], turn them off via that app). Then start up the game without them. If the game runs fine then you know it one of your mods.

To figure out which mods is causing the game to break just drop them back in the games folder a small bunch at a time and restart game. ( or in the case of using mod manger, just turn them on a bit at a time).
Once you figure out which mod is causing the issue, you then need to check with where you got your mods from to see if they have updated them to work with the current version of sims 4.

We’ll i figure if they are using a mod manager like curse forge it should tell them what mods are causing the issue or broken that way they know which ones to remove but in all fairness they should just remove them all until all their mods get fixed by the developers that way the game will run, smooth and not have any problems

Yes essentially every time the game gets updated it breaks whatever mods you are using so technically what you would do is you would back up your saves and delete whatever mods you’re using and wait for them to get updated to work with the game again and re-download them and then put your saves back and there you go and then you’re good to go until the game gets updated again it’s kind of a reoccurring thing with the Sims you probably will get annoyed with it
did you find a fix for this? i updated my MacBook and now the sims isn't working
Im currently having an issue where I load the sims and it shows a black screen, then goes to home screen like usual but its very blurry and all of my saves and progress is gone, I'm still logged in though?? I deleted all of my mods and moved my mods folder to desktop even though there's nothing in it and I don't know what to do please help me! :(
