The Sims™ 4

The Sims™ 4

latest update
Thanks a lot EA; this latest update has removed all of the outfits which my Sim characters wore. It NEVER used to happen on previous updates.

Well, of course it did updates always break mods when you’re using cc and other sort of mods and a new update comes out. It’s gonna ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ up so of course your Sims are not wearing the outfits they were wearing.
That is why it is your responsibility before updates. Come out to disable them and back up your saves.
was it CC outfits? when a new update comes out always make sure to enable custom content then exit and relaunch t he game, if you load a file then save before enabling mods and relaunching all your CC will be missing from your sims, i learnt this the hard way many years ago

You've missed my point. Previous updates nullified custom content, but once I ticked that box all of my sims were OK. This latest update sucks.

Doesn't kill EA to stop screwing over mods with their updates. But you're right that this should not come as a shocker to anyone. They've been doing this for almost a decade now.

The updates are normally done to make new DLC work correctly with the base game. That's 90% of the reason they do it.

well the new update is awful but what do you expect. now cant even travel.. way to go. happy 25 year of screw up. I cant wait for march and finally drop this ... trash
and yes, disabling the mods and doing an integrity check for corrupted file resolves most of it. but really its sad that they resolve to break everything else, because most mods are to make up where they failed. But again its EA. as they say just purchase our new pack. lol

I did all that and it disabled custom content again when I restarted the game, making it useless since I can't keep custom content enabled when the game itself is disabling it every time I restart it. How exactly do you fix that?

Lmao, good one. Especially since the DLC don't even work correctly themselves.
