Reaper career plea

So... the fate caught up to mr. Lothario. :)

My sim is a reaper by career and found out dead Don Lothario in Caliente's house. His fate is in my hands. Should i revive him or take his soul? I wonder if his death is scripted and he will be unharmed when my shift ends, or he is really dead. I mean... when i take his soul. I'm tempted to.
